I haven’t chosen Choos for ages as my stilts of record, but these could change my tune.
These are more than up-to-code.

Clunky shoe? That won’t do!
Skinny stilt? Won’t climb hills!
Is there an in-between that can mean I get through the lumps and bumps of life – and maybe even make it over Hump Day?
The wind outside is howling.
The girl inside is scowling.
Don’t fret, darling. Something is afoot.
The autumn leaves are charming and quite simply put,
Nothing brings out the inner glamour girl, like the right little boot.
My dears, I am on a quest.
I need pointy flats.
No sense in crying over the perfect pair I had in the early ’80s – elongated toe, patent leather, went with everything.
No sense in sobbing over the late ’80s ones I gave away in the mid ’90s – cockroach-killer, lace-up, menswear flats in perfect condition. Ok, so I still sob a little at the loss of those. It was one of those ruthless closet-cleaning moments, when I thought I would never wear flats again.
So now, I am on a quest. I need a gothentic pair.
Pointy. Elongated with toe cleavage. Shiny. Black.
These are the closest to my heart so far…but they are not “the ones”, you know?
Can you help me find my sole mate?
Sometimes, a girl needs to rise above the reptilian creatures under foot and literally lift her spirits.
It’s so hard to find a shoe with an elongated toe anymore. The real ones make a point at every corner.
Can we stop with the heels and little socks already? This is not doing anyone any good.
There’s no place like home.
There’s no place like home.
And in case you’ve forgotten, home is where the shoe closet is.
I’m always at home in a pair of heels. Flats feel so foreign…
I’ve been watching the Spring/Summer 2012 shows with one eye. The other is firmly on FW11, because the cool September breezes have me thinking about what I want to wear you know, right now.
But I always have a view on next season’s story – whether I am ready to tell the tale or not.
Well, this plot line just thickened and something is a-stir.
It’s that time of year – time to start things up again and time to put on a few extra layers.
Are you ready for back to cool?
No need to climb your way to the top my dears.
These darlings will raise your social status on their own.
Vine and dine, anyone?

So apparently, it’s been cool in London this season.
You can always give off heat.
Plus, you now have a reason to wear stilts and studs in Summer.
Always look at the positive side, my dears.
Some things were just made for the red carpet.
Your inner Cleo will love these wrap-around reptilian roadsters.
Not that you will actually want them to touch the road, of course.
The colour combinations are delicious – just don’t have a hissy fit trying to figure out which one is best for you.
I want both.
What? Cleo was all about excess, wasn’t she?
I was never trained on runners – trainers in some parts of the world.
I’m not sporty like that.
But sometimes, a girl needs to walk for miles.
That need for comfort shouldn’t mean having to change your fashion personality.
Mr. Yamamoto, thank you for making it a point to think of us girls, who have a little goth in their spirit.
These are screaming for a skinny, ankle-length, black, tailored capri and breezy, white linen shirt.
Ooh…summer me might just come out yet!
